Overview
After a rough fantasy season, I built the analyst I wanted beside me on draft day. sleeper-agent combines player projections, a live draft board, and scouting on the other managers in my league. Once the draft is over, a separate season autopilot handles the recurring work around lineups and the waiver wire.
The Challenge
The highest projected scorer isn't always the best pick. Position scarcity, the players already on your roster, and who your opponents might take all matter. During the season, injuries, transfers, blank gameweeks, and waiver deadlines keep changing the decision.
My Approach
A Python pipeline combines football data and rankings into player projections and values relative to positional replacements. The Next.js war room tracks draft picks and updates the available board. A Cloudflare Worker handles season scheduling against the actual football calendar, refreshing availability and fixture context before making decisions.
The Solution
The draft tools bring projections and opponent needs into one view. The season worker checks lineups before deadlines, evaluates free agents and waiver claims, and produces trade suggestions with a record of its decisions. It connects the analysis to the weekly work of managing my own team.
